FAQ'S

  • Q: Do I need an appointment to have my taxes prepared?
A: Although not required, we recommend that you schedule an appointment so that we can give you our full attention and ensure that your tax return is prepared accurately.
  • Q: What types of tax returns do you prepare?
A: We specialize in preparing individual tax returns, Form 1040, and small business tax returns, Schedule C. We can also help with tax problem resolution, such as back taxes or audits.
  • Q. Can you prepare my state return?
    A. Yes! Since Enrolled agents have unlimited practice rights. This means they are unrestricted as to which taxpayers they can represent, what types of tax matters they can handle, and which IRS offices they can represent clients before.
  • Q: How much do you charge for tax preparation services?
A: Our pricing varies depending on the complexity of your tax return. We offer competitive pricing and a free consultation to discuss your tax preparation needs and can provide you with a quote after we have reviewed your tax documents. We will always provide you with a quote upfront before beginning any work on your return.
  • Q: What documents do I need to have available or to bring to my tax appointment?
A: We recommend that you bring the following documents to your tax appointment: • Your Driver's license or State ID. • W-2 forms or 1099 forms from any employers or any other income statements for other sources of income you may have received. • Any 1098 forms showing mortgage interest paid, 1098-E student loan interest paid or 1098-T Tuition Statement from your school or college. • Receipts for any tax-deductible expenses, such as charitable donations or medical expenses and documentation for any other deductions or credits you plan to claim. • Any other tax documents, such as a 1095-A form for health insurance or K-1 forms for partnership income. • If you are self-employed, you should also bring a record of your business income and expenses, also known as a Profit & Loss (P&L) Statement. We can provide you with a detailed list of documents you'll need to bring based on your specific tax situation in advance.
  • Q: How long does it take to prepare a tax return?
A: The time it takes to prepare a tax return depends on its complexity. We will work with you to gather all the necessary information and complete your return as efficiently as possible. For simple returns, that include just a W-2 and 1099-INT interest statement from a bank, it can take as little as one hour to prepare your return. However, if your return is more complex or you have multiple sources of income, it may take from a few days to a couple weeks to complete.

If you are unable to file your return by the deadline, you may request an extension by filing Form 4868, which we would be more than happy to assist you with filing.
